Competing with players I have coached since juniors

What a proud moment! I'm playing alongside three players whom I've coached during their junior years, and now they're representing the senior county team in the county championships with me. When I began coaching these girls, I could never have imagined they would eventually become my teammates. I hope their passion for badminton and representing their county continues as long as mine has!

Lucy Dong, one of the players I coached since her early teens, followed the Berkshire pathway that I helped set up. She then went on to study at Bath University, my alma mater. It's fantastic to have her back representing Berkshire.

Lily, who also followed the same pathway, was a lively teen but always a joy to work with. She's currently studying at the University of Nottingham while representing its teams and continuing to play for Berkshire. Her commitment is commendable.

Holly Ranson and I have been working together since she was almost the same size as her racket. Now, she's a racketlon world champion and one of our strongest U17 players in the county. Holly's success is a testament to her parents, and I hope it continues..
